Ashley Knight

Our Heavenly Father called Ashley home on Father’s Day, June 16, 2024, after her 5 year battle with cancer. She was a warrior that fought bravely throughout her diagnosis. Ashley was born August 7, 1986 to Jeffrey and Shawn Knight. She grew up in Van Buren, Indiana and graduated in 2005 from Eastbrook High School. She spent many years loving and caring for patients as a CNA. Her pride and joy were her 4 boys Drew, Kobe, Jordan, and Grayson. They were her source of motivation to fight and pick herself back up day in and day out. Her heart was always big enough to have love and concern for her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, as well as her many friends. Even when she was down, she was always trying to cheer someone else up.

Ashley is survived by her father, Jeffrey (Lisa Evans) of Van Buren, Indiana, and mother, Shawn Knight of Marion, Indiana; children, Drew Johnson, Kobe Johnson, Jordan Johnson, and Grayson Knight; siblings, Sarah Case and Logan Knight; grandparents, James Knight and Linda Shook.

She is preceded in her passing by her grandmother, Shirley Knight; grandfather, Larry Shook Sr.; uncle, Larry Shook Jr.. and Kevin Knight.

A celebration of life will be held at Van Buren Church of the Nazarene, 809 W. Main Street, Van Buren, IN 46991 on Saturday, June 29, 2024. The family will receive friends and family from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. and then a service will start at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Slater.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that any donations be made out to Armes-Hunt Funeral Home for a fund to go to the boys needs.
