Alice 'Irene' Palmer

Alice Irene Palmer, 88, died and entered into eternal life early Thursday morning, June 13, 2019, in Heritage Pointe, Warren. She was born on January 12, 1931, the daughter of the late Charles O. and Crystal F. (Futrell) Rouse. Irene was a member Union Chapel Baptist Church, Marion and was a former member of the ABWA. She was an Administrative Assistant for Farm Credit Services for many years. She married Jerry Palmer on January 28, 1950. Together they shared 61 years, before he preceded her in death on March 23, 2011. Survivors include three sons: Gregory (Vivica) Palmer, Sharpsville; Kent (Phyllis) Palmer, Greenfield, Wisconsin; and Steven (Crystal) Palmer, Upland; two brothers; Joseph (Mary) Rouse, Franktown, Colorado; and Stanley (Cheryl) Rouse, Virginia; a sister: Gloria Carder, Florida; nine grandchildren: Corey Palmer, Caleb Palmer, Brian Palmer, Bradley Palmer, Benjamin Palmer, Jessica Caldwell, May Howard, Emily Palmer, and Levi Palmer; and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother John Rouse and a sister, Jeanne Sutton. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 18, 2019, from 10 11 AM, at Heritage Pointe, 801 Huntington Ave, Warren, Indiana. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Kent Palmer and Chaplain Ginny Soultz officiating. Burial will be in Balsley Cemetery, Blackford County.
