Albert M. Gerstorff

Albert M. Gerstorff, 79, of Fairmount, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Albert was born on August 12, 1944, in Marion, to the late Fred and Ivy (Jackson) Gerstorff. He married the love of his life Patricia (Moore) Gerstorff on May 14, 1966, she preceded him in death on May 11, 2023. Albert retired from Essex's after 30 plus years of service.

Albert always kept busy with yard work, small engine repairs, fishing, playing cards and games, collecting coins, and most importantly visiting with friends and family.

Albert is survived by nephew, Jack Shaffer, and niece, Michelle Shaffer, both of Fairmount and whom he raised as if they were his own; granddaughter, Olivia Persinger, Indianapolis; great-grandson, Jonathan Perry III, Indianapolis; and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ivy (Jackson) Gerstorff; and 13 brothers and sisters.

Arrangements for Albert have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana. Albert and his late wife Pat will be buried together at Forrestville Cemetery, in Summitville at a later date.

Memorial contributions in honor of Albert may be made to The American Heart Association.
