Willie Jysaiha Oxendine

Willie Jysaiha Oxendine passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 at the age of 18 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born on September 14, 2005 in Marion, Indiana to Willie "Justin" Oxendine and Angel Timmons. Willie attended school at Marion High School where he was involved in football and basketball.

Willie had the personality that would light up the room whenever he was present. He was a jokester, loved hanging out with friends, and always loved being around family. He loved to pick on his sister and god-mother, Destene Smith. Willie could often be heard singing, and it did not matter where. He had a joyous presence about him and very often he did things his way.

Willie is survived by his parents, Angel Timmons and Robert Smith both of Marion, Willie "Justin" Oxendine of Summitville; siblings, Destene Smith, Anissa Wortman, Robert Smith, Marcus (Katlyn) Smith, Teresa Smith, Torianna Smith, Stacia (Chris) Smith, Makaela Smith, Malaque Smith, Robert Manz Smith, Jaice Mae Oxendine, Emerilyn Justine Oxendine; grandparents, Jeff (Patti) Timmons of Marion, Teresa (Rodney) Smith of Marion, and Dana Oxendine of Jonesboro; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Willie is preceded in his passing by his grandmother, Diana Mathias.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 S. Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at The River Community Church, 759 S. Lenfesty Ave., Marion, Indiana 46953 from 11:00-1:00 .M.. Immediately following the visitation, a service will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Amonte King officiating. Following the service a burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park in Marion, Indiana.
