Tanya K Reece

Tanya K. Reece, 70, passed away November 26, 2017 at Ball Memorial Hospital after a courageous 25-year battle with cancer. She was born to the late ArthurShedrowand Dorothy (Henson)Reutebuch. She married the love of her life, Roger Reece, on August 10, 1968. She enjoyed serving the lord in her quiet and caring way. She retired from the Marion VA where she was a Physical Therapy Assistant. While there, she was selected as the VA woman of the year. She also worked at Ivanhoes for 10 years. Tanya enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching them in sporting events. She often made nursing home visitations for the church. A highlight was her missions trip to Honduras in 2004 with her husband and a girls softball team. Tanya enjoyed following theEastbrookPanthers sports teams, Nascar, and fishing with Roger. Tanya is survived by her husband Roger, Upland; mother, DorothyReutebuch; son, Jason (Heather) Reece, Swayzee; daughters, DeAnna (Doug) Asscherick, Newcaney, TX, and Trena Langlands, Ridgeville, SC; brothers, Lane (Cathy)Shedrow, Monterey, IN, Mark (Sandy)Shedrow, Winimac, IN, and ToddReutebuch, Junction City, KS; and sisters, Sheryl Burke, Marion, IN, Marcilee (Peter) Gerdon, and ChantelReutebuch, Matthews, IN. She also had several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she dearly loved. Arrangements for Tanya have been entrusted to Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services Jones-Smith Chapel, 259 N. Main St., Upland, Indiana 46989. Visitation and funeral services will be held at Center Chapel United Methodist Church, 8733 E. 200 S., Marion, Indiana 46953. Visitation is Wednesday, November 29, 2017, from 4:00-8:00 PM. The funeral service will be on Thursday, November 30, with a visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM with the service following at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Jefferson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Center Chapel United Methodist Church.
