Michael 'Mike' D. Bradford

Michael Mike D. Bradford, 71, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, in Marion, Indiana. Mike was born in Marion, on April 5, 1948, to the late Earl H. Bradford and the late Betty L. (Sinclair) Kidwell. He graduated from Mississinewa High School Class of 1966. Mike was in the Navy during the Vietnam War, where he served two tours. He had worked at General Tire/Essex before they closed their doors. He then went on to work at the Marion VA Hospital as a psychiatric nursing assistant for over 20 years until retiring in 2011. He was a member of the American Legion Post #313 in Fairmount, Indiana. Mike enjoyed fishing and golfing. He was in a bowling league with his fellow VFW members. He loved eating, watching the Food Network and cooking. He liked taking long road trips to visit some of the diners, drive-in restaurants, and dive bars that Guy Fieri had visited on the Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives television show to see if he enjoyed the food as well. Mike will truly be missed by many. Mike is survived by daughters, Michelle (Kurk) Tucker, Converse; and Molly (Tom) Burton, Port St. Lucie, FL; grandsons, Jacob Bradford, Jonesboro; and Kurtis Tucker, Converse; granddaughter, Johnna (Justin) Fritch, Marion; sisters, Debbie (Joel) Peveler, Owensboro, KY; Becky (Gayle) Armes, Fairmount; and Sandi (Steve) Kyle, San Antonio, TX; and brother, Brent (Katie) Kidwell, Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Bradford and Betty Kidwell; his granddaughters, Faith and Hope Burton and his best friend Sherman Coble. Arrangements for Mike have been entrusted to College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 4601 South Washington Street, Marion, Indiana 46953, where a visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2019, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., with the funeral service beginning at 4:00 P.M. with Pastor Todd Graham officiating.
